The Vitec Group supplies equipment such as cameras and lights for the photographic and staging industries (including video and live events) through its Imaging & Staging unit. Its Broadcast Systems division provides equipment for film and TV broadcast applications, while its Broadcast Services division provides rental services and technical support for the broadcast market. Vitec includes about 20 subsidiaries, and its products are distributed in nearly 100 countries. The company, then called W. Vinten, was founded in 1910, incorporated in 1928, and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1972.
