Company Description
The University of Nebraska has sprouted four campuses out in the fields of the Cornhusker State. Founded in 1869, the state university confers bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in more than 170 majors including agriculture, business, education, and engineering at its campuses in Kearney, Lincoln, and Omaha. The university's Medical Center in Omaha trains doctors, performs research, and is affiliated with a roughly 700-bed teaching hospital. The school also operates research and extension services across the state. Nearly 50,000 students attend classes in the system that has a student-teacher ratio of about 16:1. It was founded as a land-grant university just two years after the Nebraska became a state.
