Company Description

Renco Group is a holding company for a diverse group of businesses. Its AM General subsidiary (a joint venture with Ronald Perelman's MacAndrews & Forbes Holding) makes the HUMVEE, an extra-wide, all-terrain vehicle used by the military. Renco Steel manufactures and distributes steel. Other Renco Group companies include Doe Run, the world's #2 lead smelter; Unarco Material Handling, which makes racks and systems for warehouses; Inteva Products, which manufactures systems for the automotive  industry; and US Magnesium. The company is owned by industrialist Ira Rennert.
