In addition to reporting-focused courses, Poynter offers programs on ethics, design, photo and visual journalism, and leadership. The institute maintains a variety of resources, including a research library. Poynter owns the Times Publishing Company, which publishes the Florida-based St. Petersburg Times and its Washington affiliate, Congressional Quarterly.
