The group was formed in 2008 when the NASDAQ Stock Market merged with OMX, the owner of Northern Europe's largest securities marketplace. Combined, the group trades in some 3,600 companies, including exchange-traded funds (ETFs), equities, options, futures, derivatives, commodities, and structured products. International business accounts for approximately 20% of NASDAQ OMX's revenue.
