Company Description

The GEO Group sticks to its convictions, and it relies on them to generate business. With locations in about 25 states, the company, one of the largest operators of private correctional facilities in the US (along with Corrections Corporation of America), operates more than 115 correctional, detention, and mental health facilities with some 81,000 beds. Besides incarceration, GEO offers educational, rehabilitative, and vocational training programs at its facilities. The firm offers mental health and residential treatment services through its GEO Care subsidiary. Most of the company's facilities are in the US; it also has operations in Australia, Canada, Cuba (Guantanamo Bay), South Africa, and the UK.
