The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) is a trade organization that provides research, training, networking, and partnering services to its 22,000-plus members. It serves more than 100 countries with offices in Amsterdam, Beijing, Brussels, Dubai, Düsseldorf, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, São Paulo, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo, Toronto, and Washington, DC. CompTIA also helps companies implement best practices in relation to software, convergence, certification, e-commerce, and workforce development. Like the industry it serves, CompTIA has grown dramatically since it was founded in 1982 by representatives of five micro-computer dealerships.
