The firm has an interest in more than 2,450 stores in Europe that sell mobile and other wireless technology and services. The stores operate under the Carphone Warehouse banner in the UK and The Phone House in eight other European markets. Carphone Warehouse also sells Internet access to homes in England and Europe and has begun selling laptops, touch phones, and other mobile devices at a new, larger store format called Wireless World. Founded in 1989, Carphone Warehouse owns 50% of the Best Buy Europe Group and about 47% of Virgin Mobile France. In 2010 Carphone Warehouse spun off its
