Company Description
The California Endowment awards grants to health care providers in the Golden State. Funding is directed to not-for-profit organizations, particularly those that work with the state's poor and underserved communities, as well as studies of the state's health care industry. Its advocacy interests include health care access, culturally competent health systems, and elimination of health disparities. A private foundation, The California Endowment has awarded more than $1.5 billion in grants since it was established in 1996. It has regional offices in Fresno, Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, and San Francisco.
