Company Description

The company is Thailand's major refiner and is also engaged in pipeline operations, lube base refining, power projects, shipping, and carbon black and paraxylene production. The capacity of Thai Oil's refinery was increased in 2007 to 275,000 barrels of oil per day, which represents more than a fifth of Thailand's total refining capacity. The company is diversifying its business operations to increase its revenue base, including ethanol production. Thai Oil, which went public in 2004, is 49.5%-owned by state-controlled energy powerhouse
