Company Description
Known under the Communist regime as the company sponsoring ominous and intimidating radio blocking towers, today Tesla is transmitting success. The company was founded in 1921 under the name Elektra and manufactured lightbulbs, electron tubes, military radio technology, and television transmitters. In 1946 its purpose was altered, and for years afterwards it produced medium- and short-wave radio transmitters. More than 1500 transmitters, covering more than 60% of all radio and television broadcasting, were distributed throughout the Soviet Union during that country's rule. Today, using its evolved expertise, Tesla mainly focuses on supplying stationary telecommunication networks for the Czech army.
