Company Description
Tennessee State University (TSU), home to more than 8,200 students, is especially known for its programs in education, nursing, biology, public administration, and psychology. The university offers more than 45 undergraduate programs and more than 20 graduate programs through two campuses in Nashville. TSU was first organized as the Agricultural and Industrial State Normal School for black students in 1909; it began serving students in 1912. The school became a teacher's college in 1922 and in 1958 its name was changed to Tennessee State to reflect its status as a land-grant university. Famous alumni include Oprah Winfrey and Ed "Too Tall" Jones.
