TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company (TWMC) is on a power trip. The subsidiary of TECO Electric & Machinery makes induction, synchronous, and DC electric motors (in sizes from one-quarter horsepower to 100,000 hp), as well as generators and other electrical power products. TWMC also offers motor drives and controls, large-motor repair and testing, replacement parts, and engineering services. The company serves customers in the air conditioning, electrical utility, marine, mining and metal, petrochemical, pulp and paper, and water/wastewater treatment industries. TECO-Westinghouse Motor was formed in 1986 as a joint venture between TECO and Westinghouse Electric. In 1995 TECO took full ownership of the company.
