Tanfield Group is being elevated to new heights. Through its Powered Access division and Snorkel International subsidiary, the company designs and manufactures its global Snorkel-brand elevating work platforms. Tanfield's Zero Emission Vehicles division was discontinued after the sale of Smith Electric Vehicles to its US associate (SEVUS) in early 2011 (for about $55 million); however, Tanfield retains a 32% stake in SEVUS. The company continues to provide specialist engineering, fabrications, and assembly services primarily to the construction equipment sector through its Tanfield Engineering Systems.
