Synalloy brings stainless steel and specialty chemicals together under one company. Operating through Bristol Metals and Ram-Fab, the company manufactures welded pipe and fabricates piping systems from stainless steel and other alloys, or carbon and chrome alloy. Its customers, who require corrosion resistance or high purity, are chiefly engaged in the chemical, petrochemical, water and waste water treatment, and paper industries. Steel pipe, branded Brismet, is sold to distributors and directly to end-users. Synalloy's chemicals business, Manufacturers Chemicals, produces specialty chemicals and dyes (defoamers, surfactants, softening agents) for the textile, chemical, paper, mining, and metals industries.
