Swiss Reinsurance America is the US property and casualty reinsurance arm of reinsurance giant Swiss Reinsurance (AKA Swiss Re, one of the world's leading reinsurance providers). The company provides reinsurance services through several divisions: global and national; regional and specialty; finance; claims services; and ocean marine. The acquisitions of US-based Life Re, Lincoln Re, and CNA Financial's life business helped dramatically increase Swiss Re's life premiums, which is one of the largest lines written. Its sister company Swiss Re Life & Health America provides life and health reinsurance.
