SurgiVision designs products with surgical focus. A medical devices company, SurgiVision develops imaging technologies and precision instruments (i.e. needles that deliver radiation) designed for surgeons performing minimally invasive procedures by way of MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanners. The company received FDA approval for its first commercial product, the ClearPoint system for use in neurological procedures, in 2010. It also has candidates in earlier stages of development, including its ClearTrace and SafeLead products, which are designed for cardiac procedures. SurgiVision was established in 1998; it filed to go public through an IPO in 2009.
