Through its Stolt Tankers, Stolt Terminals, and Stolt Tank Containers units, the company provides transportation of bulk liquids such as chemicals, edible oils, acids, and petroleum products. It operates a fleet of about 150 vessels that have an aggregate capacity of more than 2.5 million deadweight tons (DWT); it also operates a global network of terminals that offer storage of chemicals and other bulk liquids. Aside from its core marine transportation business, Stolt-Nielsen produces seafood products, including turbot, sturgeon, sole, and caviar, through its Stolt Sea Farm unit. Chairman Jacob Stolt-Nielsen and his family own a controlling stake in the company.
