All hands are on the mill floor at Star of the West Milling. The company operates five flour mills in four US states and seven country elevators. The mills and elevators store and process wheat, corn, and soybeans. Its flour milling capacity is about 40,000 lbs. per day. North Star Bean, a division of Star of the West, processes beans such as navy, pinto, and black beans into dry commodity products. The company also owns Eastern Michigan Grain, an elevator that offers offers grain handling and marketing. Star of the West sells its flour and beans worldwide to customers that include canning and packaging companies. It has operations in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, New York, and North Dakota.
