St. Luke's Hospital provides health care services to St. Louis residents and surrounding areas of eastern Missouri. The medical center, also known as St. Luke's Episcopal Presbyterian Hospital, houses more than 490 beds and offers general medical and surgical care, as well as specialty services in areas such as heart disease, cancer, neuroscience, orthopedics, pediatrics, and women's health. St. Luke's also operates a handful of urgent care clinics in St. Louis and St. Charles counties, providing treatment for minor emergencies such as cuts, rashes, and animal bites, as well as an assisted-living facility and several diagnostic imaging centers. The hospital was founded in 1866.
