The network's hospitals include the Sparrow Clinton Memorial Hospital, the Sparrow Ionia Hospital, affiliate hospital Carson City Hospital, and the aptly-named Sparrow Hospital. The health system also operates dozens of satellite clinics, a long-term-care center, a hospice care provider, medical equipment rental unit, and athletic club. Sparrow Health got its start in 1896 when a group of women set out with $400, a house on Ottawa Street (in Lansing, Michigan), and a mission to care for the sick.
