Southland Industries designs, builds, and maintains a variety of mechanical systems for facilities around North America. The employee-owned mechanical engineering firm provides design, construction, fabrication, and maintenance of plumbing, process piping, fire protection, HVAC, and controls and automation systems. Southland Industries' clients are in the health care, life sciences, hospitality, industrial, education, government, and telecommunication sectors. Projects include the renovation of the Pentagon following the terrorist attacks of September 11, and the M Resort in Las Vegas. Founded in 1949, Southland Industries has about a half-dozen offices in California, Maryland, Nevada, Virginia, and Baltimore.
