One of the largest diversified natural gas operations in the US, Southern Union is looking to form a more perfect union of natural gas transportation, storage, gathering, processing, and distribution assets. The company's major utility, Missouri Gas Energy, distributes natural gas to customers in four states. Southern Union has interests in gas storage facilities and more than 20,000 miles of pipeline throughout the US (primarily through Panhandle Energy and its 50% ownership of Florida Gas).
