Company Description
Solon's solar energy modules are helping to keep a lot of lights on in Germany. The company's core businesses are the manufacture and sale of solar modules and solar system technologies, as well as photovoltaic systems for large-scale solar power plants. Solon (formerly Solon AG für Solartechnik) functions from two operating segments: Components (development, production, and distribution of solar modules) and System Technology (development, manufacture, and distribution of power plant systems). Solon, with subsidiaries in Austria, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and the US, sells its products in more than 20 countries and gets about three-quarters of its revenues outside Germany.
