If you don't want to drive to the pump, SMF Energy will bring the fuel to you. The company delivers gas, diesel, and alternative fuels, primarily to customers with large vehicle fleets, such as trucking firms, utilities, and couriers. SMF Energy electronically tracks usage to verify delivery, giving customers data for each fleet. Its more than 200 fueling trucks and specialized commercial vehicles serve major urban areas from 34 locations in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. It owns more than 800 storage tanks with more than 1.7 million gallons of capacity. In 2012 SMF Energy filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
