Its largest customers include HP, Cisco, and Dell. SMART's advantage is its fast product turnaround for customers. The Americas account for about three-quarters of sales. In 2011 SMART was taken private by Silver Lake Partners and Silver Lake Sumeru in a deal valued at around $645 million.
