The company still makes handheld dental instruments as well as imaging systems, dental CAD/CAM systems used in restorations, and a full line of other products used by dentists and dental laboratories worldwide. Its CEREC system is a 3-D computer-aided contraption for making ceramic restorations (such as crowns and bridges) in the dentist's office rather than a lab.
