Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, part of the LifeBridge Health network, provides medical care in northwestern Baltimore. The hospital is a not-for-profit medical center that includes such facilities as a heart center, a children's hospital, a cancer institute, and a rehab center. Other specialties include orthopedics, neurology, and women's care. Medical students from Johns Hopkins University do some of their training at Sinai. Sinai Hospital of Baltimore was founded in 1866 as the Hebrew Hospital and Asylum and became a subsidiary of LifeBridge when it merged with other area providers in 1998.
