Signature Eyewear views prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses as the ultimate fashion statement and an integral part of its business. Laura Ashley, Nicole Miller, and bebe licensed eyewear accounts for about three-fourths of the firm's sales. Signature Eyewear also licenses frames by Michael Stars, Dakota Smith, Hart Schaffner Marx, Carmen Marc Valvo Eyewear, and General Motors' Hummer. The company makes its own line of frames ("Signature") through contract manufacturers in Hong Kong, China, Japan, and Italy, and markets them to optical retailers in more than 20 countries.
