Founded on Portland, Maine's historic waterfront, the microbrewer distributes English-style and seasonal ales. In 2008 it shipped approximately 1 million cases of ales and 41,00 cases of soda. When things are really humming at the brewery, it can fill 144,000 bottles a day. Its flagship Shipyard beer is available in 14 varieties; with seven flavors, Capt'n Eli is its soda brand. Shipyard's libations are available in about 40 US states.
