Company Description
Shimizu provides architectural, engineering, construction, and development services for commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and residential projects around the world. One of Japan's largest general contractors, the company has worked on major projects including Tokyo's Metro subway, Singapore's Changi Airport, and the Malaysia-Singapore Bridge. Other areas of specialization range from offices and power stations to railroads and dams. Shimizu has increasingly focused on green building and urban renewal projects. Needless to say, earthquake-resistant technologies have always been a part of the company's approach. The company also provides facilities management. Shimizu was founded in 1804.
