Company Description

Slogans "Are you gellin'?" and "No glove, no love" are spun by SSL International. It makes Dr. Scholl's foot care, and Durex condoms (the top condom brand in the world). Merck & Co. (formerly Schering-Plough) owns the rights to the Dr. Scholl's brand in the Americas, but SSL owns it everywhere else. SSL also customizes products to regional markets. Its Mister Baby brand, for example, includes a line designed for infant care sold solely in the UK. Likewise, its Sauber brand includes toiletries, hosiery, and creams targeted to the Italian consumer. SSL brands net almost 75% of their sales in Europe. Reckitt Benckiser (RB) acquired SSL in 2010 and integrated its brands with RB's Health & Personal Care group.
