Company Description
SAP's plans to dominate the software world are very enterprising. The company is the leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software used to integrate back-office functions such as distribution, accounting, human resources, and manufacturing. Its clients are mainly in the service, process and discrete manufacturing, and consumer industries, but also in the public service and financial services businesses. The backbone of SAP's products is its on-premise offerings, spearheaded by its Business Suite, which includes ERP and CRM software, among others. It also offers implementation and training services. The US accounts for about a quarter of sales, while the EMEA region makes up half.
