Built in 1892, the Ryman Auditorium hosted the Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974. It is a National Historic Landmark that today seats about 2,300 and hosts a variety of concerts, including bluegrass, classical, gospel, jazz, and rock. The performance hall operates as a museum with self-guided tours available during the day.
