Meat processor Roger Wood Foods produces more than a half million pounds a week of smoked sausage and other smoked meats, which it distributes to six Southeast US states (North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Virginia). Its products, which also include hot dogs and chorizo, are offered under brand names such as Roger Wood Lumberjack, Redwood, and Santana. The company ships its products to regional and national deli and grocery retailers, including Wal-Mart, Kroger, Food Lion, and Publix. The Solana family owns and operates the company their grandfather, Roger Wood, founded in 1946.
