Company Description
The Canadian oil patch is inhabited by numerous rival energy companies. Rival Energy is a junior oil and gas exploration company with operations in Saskatchewan and Alberta. It focuses on sweet natural gas and light oil and produces in the shallow natural gas fairway within the Belly River and Bearpaw formations of southwestern Saskatchewan. It also has been drilling in a new pool oil discovery in the Killam area of east-central Alberta and has operations in the Loon area of central Alberta. In 2006 the company reported net proved and probable reserves of 736,000 barrels of oil, 53,000 barrels of natural gas liquids, and 3.8 billion cu. ft. of natural gas.
