With determined resolve Resolute Energy searches for oil and gas. In 2009 the company reported net proved reserves of more than 64 million barrels of oil equivalent in Utah and Wyoming. The company's assets include about 380 active and 300 water and carbon dioxide injected wells on land in the Greater Aneth Field (its primary asset) in Utah. It shares ownership of the oil field with Navajo Nation Oil and Gas Company (NNOG), since the Aneth Field sits on reservation land. The field was discovered in 1956 and is considered mature and long-lived, making its operation less risky than newer, unproved fields. Expanding its reach, Resolute Energy acquired properties in Wyoming in 2008 and in North Dakota in 2010.
