Reitmans, a retailer of women's, men's, and junior apparel and accessories, operates about 965 stores under seven different banners across Canada. These include its flagship 365-store Reitmans chain targeting women between 25 and 45 years of age, as well as about 155 Smart Set shops for 20-something women. The retailer's Penningtons and Addition Elle banners cater to plus-size gals. Other formats include RW & CO. mall stores for junior men and women (ages 18 to 30), and some 75 Thyme Maternity stores for the expectant set. Cassis, the company's newest banner, caters to women ages 40 to 55. The retailer also sells apparel online. The family-run company was founded in 1926 by Herman and Sarah Reitman.
