The company is the exclusive North American distributor and marketer of Razor-branded scooters. The scooters' unique braking mechanisms allow riders to stop by stepping down on the rear fender. Razor's other products include the E100, E200, and E300 electric scooters; Pocket Rocket mini motorcycles; Scream Machine three-wheeler; Pocket Mod electric ride-on; and accessories. Razor also markets the Ripstik, a two-wheeled self-propelled skateboard. The company was founded in 2000 as a joint venture between president Carlton Calvin and JD Corporation, the Taiwanese company that manufactures the Razor scooter.
