Company Description

Silver is nowhere to be found on Quicksilver Production Partners' production radar. An oil and gas exploration and development company, Quicksilver Production owns and operates mature properties in the Barnett Shale in north Texas. Its assets, which produce primarily natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs), have total proved reserves of some 430 billion of cubic feet equivalent. The company uses hydraulic fracturing to extract gas and NGLs from its wells, which are found in terrain that makes extracting resources difficult or impossible to do using conventional methods. Quicksilver Production Partners was formed in late 2011 by Quicksilver Resources; it filed to go public in early 2012.
