You might say this vegetable oil producer knows how to gin up some business. PYCO Industries is a member-owned cooperative with cottonseed oil mills located in Lubbock, Texas. Used by food manufacturers and other foodservice companies, its oil is shipped to customers across the country. The coop also markets whole cottonseed as well as such byproducts as cottonseed hulls and cottonseed meal used in livestock feed. Cottonseed linters, another byproduct, is used by manufacturers for mattresses and upholstery padding, as well as in the paper and plastics industries. PYCO boasts more than 60 cotton gins in the southern US.
