Company Description
One of Italy's primary maritime transportation companies, Premuda operates a fleet of about two dozen vessels, including tankers and bulk carriers, that carry liquid and dry bulk cargo, including crude oil, coal, iron ores, and grain. The company also operates a floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) unit, which extracts and treats crude oil from ships and loads it back on without tanker ships having to dock. Premuda's fleet includes both company-owned vessels and vessels chartered from other shipowners. Investimenti Marittimi, a company created in 2008 by Premuda shareholder Navigazione Italiana, has gained a controlling stake in Premuda and offered to buy the rest.
