The company, a division of United Technologies (UTC), manufactures and maintains commercial, military, and business jet engines and produces space propulsion systems. Pratt & Whitney also makes industrial gas turbines for power generation. Commercial air giants Airbus (about 12% of sales) and Boeing are Pratt & Whitney's largest commercial engine customers. Military offerings include engines for the F-22, F-15, F-16, F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, and the C-17 Globemaster II military transport. On the space side, Pratt & Whitney rocket engines help launch NASA space shuttles, space probes, and satellites.
