Company Description
PowerHouse Energy (formerly Bidtimes) redirects trash from municipal waste streams and transforms it into energy through its waste-to-energy systems. In addition to municipal waste, PowerHouse Energy also takes lignite (brown coal), tires, and plastics to create synthetic gas for electricity generation or converts it into liquid transportation fuels. The former business investment firm Bidtimes had earlier scouted for a reverse takeover to relaunch itself after running into financial difficulties. In 2011 it acquired PowerHouse Energy, in a reverse takeover. The company has operations in Southern California, but keeps its head office in the UK.
