It provides reproductive health care and sexual health information to more than 5 million people each year. PPFA also lobbies for reproductive rights and reproductive health issues and works to provide access to family planning services for all. PPFA operates through 865 affiliated health centers and is part of the International Planned Parenthood Federation. PPFA is supported by private and corporate donations and patient fees, as well as government grants. The organization was founded in 1916 by Margaret Sanger.
