In addition to offering UV tanning beds, Planet Beach offers other machine-based treatments such as teeth whitening, massage beds, photofacials, spray-on tans, oxygen therapy, steam baths, and saunas. The salons are membership-based, and customers can also purchase skin care, nutrition, and weight-loss products. Planet Beach boasts more than 150,000 members. The company was founded in 1996, began offering auxiliary services in 2005, and filed to go public in 2010.
