In the Spraberry field (in the Permian Basin), Pioneer Southwest Energy Partners reported proved reserves in 2008 of 22.7 million barrels of oil equivalent and an average production of more than 4,810 barrels per day. The oil and gas exploration company's properties consist of non-operated working interests in 1,100 producing wells. The limited partnership was formed by exploration and production firm Pioneer Natural Resources in 2007 to own and acquire oil and gas properties in Texas and eight counties in southeastern New Mexico.
