The firm provides its services on a fully-insured basis or as a third-party administration services for self-insured employers. Its Business Health Solutions unit provides managed workers' compensation care and vocational rehabilitation services. Covenant Health and Mountain State Health Alliance owned Cariten until it was acquired by Humana for $245 million in late 2008.
