Pharmasset uses its intellectual capital to take down the viruses that take down people's defenses. The company develops and plans to commercialize oral anti-viral drugs based on its nucleoside analog research. One of its drugs (Racivir) is in clinical trials for the treatment of HIV; other anti-viral compounds in the works include those for the treatment of hepatitis B (Clevudine) and hepatitis C (R-7128) viruses.
