PepsiCo International (PI) peps up the world. A unit of PepsiCo, the company makes and sells soft drinks, juices, fountain syrups, and concentrates under the Pepsi, 7UP, Mirinda, Mountain Dew, Gatorade, and Tropicana brands in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Most of PI's beverages are sold through franchised bottlers. Also included in its activities are the international sales of Frito-Lay products. PepsiCo International's most profitable operations are in Europe (16% of its parent's sales), although the Middle East, Africa, and Asia are a close second (13% of its parent's sales). As a whole, PI accounted for 29% of its parent's sales in 2009.
